Download TikTok videos on PC, Mac and Linux

Copy the address
Open the public TikTok post on your computer and copy the URL from the address bar, or use Share and Copy link.

Select a compatible file
Choose MP4 HD, MP4 SD, the watermarked version or MP3 when offered. The file is saved through your browser download manager.
Locate and validate the saved copy
Use the download history in your browser to open the containing folder. A workplace or shared computer may have a custom destination or download restrictions. Wait for the transfer to finish before importing the MP4 into an editor. A partial file or an HTML error page is not a usable video, and changing its extension will not repair it.
Choose video, audio or photos deliberately
Use MP4 for a moving picture with sound and MP3 when only the available soundtrack is needed. A photo post requires the Photos tool, where image availability can differ from the cover shown in the preview. Save your own copy and source reference locally: a temporary result URL should not be treated as a permanent media library.
